Job Description:
- Cloud Database Engineering Senior
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
- Strong experience in AWS Cloud Automation responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based database systems while leveraging automation, scalability, and reliability of the systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database management: Design, implement, and maintain Cloud based DBs like AWS Aurora, MongoDB Atlas, Document DB, Neptune, Dynamo DB, Elastic Cache using AWS services
- Cloud Automation: Develop automation, workflows for provisioning, configuration, backups, patching, and scaling using tools like AWS CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Python etc.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use IaC tools (AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Rafay) to manage infrastructure as Code.
- Database Performance Tuning: Expertise and depth in one or more DB technologies specifically on performance tuning aspects of Database and SQL queries
- Strong Database Architecture and Engineering skills
Additional Cloud Skills (Preferrable):
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization of services via OAuth.
- Experience in understanding and implementation Cloud Database Security - IAM and Managed AD
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Database Engineering and Architecture including supporting production environments
- 7 plus years of related industry experience in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrable experience with
- Postgres Aurora, MongoDB and emerging database technologies like Graph DB, Vector DB
- AWS Cloud Engineering/operations
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git and Artifactory
- Scripting languages (e.g., Groovy / Perl / Python / Ruby)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and creative individual
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience(required)
Must Have Qualifications:
- 7 plus years with preference of 10 dealing with database backgrounds, Cloud database -AWS Lambda, CTF , Automation, Python , Ansible, PowerShell
