Job Title - Network engineer - Firewall, Palo Alto.
Contract Duration - 6 months Contract to hire
Location - New Haven, CT
Onsite - Mon to Friday.
- Sr. Network Engineer must be strong in Palo Alto Firewalls and have worked with VWIRE. Preferable someone that has converted to 2 layer and 3 layer most importantly.
- vWire configurations and putting in rules on the firewalls.
- There's a discovery process and a cleanup. The person will take direction from the Firewall/Network Engineer team
- Vwire - a bump in the wire, not even layer 2 - it's a pass through the firewall. A wire going through Palo Alto but then could apply policy going across. Want to convert to a Layer 3 which will do routing for the traffic and apply policy for it.
- Implementing firewall rules, policies set by infosec group. Once customer (university) - they have certain processes they need to go through. Put in a request that his team picks up and they implement rules
