The Head and Neck section. Teaching Hospitals as is the regional Oncology Center. As well as established head and neck cancer surgery there is scope for development of robotic head and neck surgery with an established and highly successful Robotic Surgical Unit present at the Trust. In addition to the provision of ablative and reconstructive head and neck cancer, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is the regional level one trauma service providing care to complex cranio facial trauma.
Besides oncology services the Unit also provide an Orthognathic and salivary gland service in addition to routine Oral & Maxillofacial surgery .
