Substitute Teacher
Job Title : Substitute Teacher
Department : School
Reports To : Principal
SUMMARY : Individual who assumes teaching and supervisory activities during a regular teacher's absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
- Teach the lessons outlined as prepared by the absent teacher.
- Consult with the Principal before initiating any teaching not outlined in the lessons of the absent teacher.
- Complete the school substitute teaching report at the end of each substitute teaching assignment.
- Return all keys or other materials at the end of each substitute teaching assignment.
- Assume any supervisory duties that have been assigned to the regular teacher during the regular teacher's absence.
- Follow district policies and procedures, including those in the substitute handbook, as adopted by the Governing Board.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Have a current Arizona Teaching or Substitute Teaching Certificate
SCOPE AND SALARY :
Temporary position based on the district substitute teacher salary schedule.
EVALUATION :
To be conducted by the Principal
