As a Director of Software Development for the Oracle Database Appliance (ODA), you will be responsible for managing a world-wide development organization that delivers an integrated solution of software, compute, networking, and storage optimized for high availability, performance, and simple management for Oracle Databases and applications.
Thousands of ODA deployments are utilized by small and medium businesses as well as enterprise customers to run their critical Oracle databases and applications. The ODA software development team collaborates with the Oracle hardware division to deliver the latest technology engineered for high performance and availability.
You will apply your extensive knowledge of systems software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with designing, developing, deploying, and debugging software applications, operating systems, and databases.
We seek Engineering Leaders who are hands-on and possess the necessary technical expertise to lead teams in solving complex problems related to distributed systems. You should value simplicity and scalability, feel comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategy, leadership, and technical direction for a geographically distributed team of senior and junior engineers.
- Manage and deliver timely, high-quality hardware and software releases.
- Develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features, and enhancements.
- Drive the delivery of roadmap commitments including large cross-functional projects on time with high quality.
- Work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure cross-organizational dependencies are managed effectively.
- Provide regular updates and feature presentation / demos to upper management.

Range and Benefit Information
US : Hiring Range in USD from : $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
