Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s).

As Director, Client Application Services you will manage application groups within the ITWorks client site ensuring business standards and service levels are met.
The role includes:
- Contributing to the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of applications across the client.
- Support maintenance and configuration of applications to ensure applications meet objectives, contribute to the development of the overall solution roadmap, manage the delivery of services to clients and ensure business standards are achieved, and identify cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management.
- As well as analyze data, identify business gaps, and recommend resolutions while contributing to process improvements and innovative strategies that support corporate and client mission and vision.
- Leadership aspects include mentoring associates, lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational or functional targets or objectives with a measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and department.
- Establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and department objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress.
- Understand and explain policies, practices, and procedures within the immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team.
- Identify, propose and lead the team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department level and deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities.
- You will also provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.
- At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 2 years client relationship management, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or other client-facing work experience
- At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
- Must have experience with an EMR (Electronic Medical Records) solution
- At least 2 years people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3 years of work experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium applications
- 3 years of Healthcare IT work experience
- Must reside in or around the Kansas City area
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
