NetSuite Test Engineering is looking for a hands-on Principal Software Engineer in Test. To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience as a software developer and a test engineer. An ideal candidate is someone who has excelled in both roles but focuses more on quality. • Team with Product Management and Developers to brainstorm new features
• Participate in all aspects of the QA product lifecycle - scoping, test case creation and maintenance, feature, regression, execution, and automation
• Guide proper test strategy based on feature design and use cases
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on coding and quality
• Design test plans and test cases to validate the scope and requirements
• Develop automated tests in Java/Junit, Typescript/Groovy, and has a solid understanding of SQL
• Create and Run performance & scalability tests
• Adhere to SDLC guidelines and closely monitor any deviations from the Scrum team
• Perform peer test plans & code reviews to ensure proper test coverage and optimize test code execution
• Mentor and coach junior test engineers on QA methodologies and strategies
• Collaborate across Product Management, Software, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver cloud security products to the market in a timely fashion with excellent quality tools and infrastructure to improve the quality and efficiency of testing
• Drive the automation within and across the multi-functional teams and strive to achieve technical and operational excellence in every step of the release
• Work closely with customer support and field teams to improve end-customer outcomes • Reproduce, investigate, and resolve defects reported by customers
Qualifications
• 8 years of test engineering experience
• 8 years of experience in Java dealing with Data Structure and Algorithms is a must
• 8 years of test automation experience with backend non-API experience is preferred
• 5 years of experience in lead role • Object-oriented programming experience required in Java
• Experience writing SQL queries
• Experience testing/developing Internet applications is an advantage
• Extensive QA experience testing with three-tiered applications
• Experience in quality test cloud platforms like Teamcity, Crucible, Timber, and GitLab
• Practical experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban team development and using Jira/Confluence
• Familiar with code coverage like SonarQube and continuous integration
• Excellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment
• Self–motivated, capable of working independently when needed
