MUST currently hold and have the ability to maintain a Level 3 Canadian Clearance.

Manage Oracle Canada’s compliance to key government programs, including but not limited to the Government of Canada’s Contract Security Program and Controlled Goods Program.

  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures internal to Oracle Canada to comply with the relevant key government programs.
  • Undertake the role of Company Security Officer and direct the activities of Alternate Company Security Officer(s), as may be required to achieve compliance with the Contract Security Program.
  • Undertake the duties of a Designated Official to comply with the Controlled Goods Program.
  • Conduct internal and support external audits of security programs.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including but not limited to CISO, IT security, legal, contracts, etc., to develop holistic integrated security solutions and protocols for Oracle Canada and its supply chain.
  • Liaise with subcontractor security officers and designated officials to ensure supply chain compliance as required for compliance to key government programs.
  • Collaborate with capture and proposal teams to win new business by providing security and compliance inputs to solicitation documents.
  • Monitor changes to government security requirements and implement or recommend necessary changes to Oracle Canada policies, processes and procedures.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry best practices, through liaison with security colleagues in other countries, to enable national and international business.
  • Develop and deliver security training to Oracle staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.

Responsibilities:

Has Canadian government experience, preferably with the Department of National Defense or Public Services and Procurement Canada, with knowledge and experience in departmental security procedures or administering contract security, and with Controlled Goods, OR Industry experience working with the Government of Canada’s Contract Security Program (or former Industrial Security Program) and Controlled Goods Program.

  • Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of contract security and controlled goods as it applies to the technology sector. Specific application to cloud services would be an asset.
  • Has knowledge of Controlled Goods Program.
  • Has a working knowledge of physical security systems (e.g., access cards, CCTV, and alarm systems).
  • Has basic knowledge of emergency management planning and running business continuity exercises.
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient and comfortable articulating advice and guidance on security and controlled goods concerns to business stakeholders.  English is essential.
  • Bilingual in French is a desirable asset.
  • Able to write incident reports, develop plans and complete forms. 
  • Is a self-starter, with an ability to work independently to meet objectives. 
  • Is a dynamic team player, collaborating with others both internally and externally to achieve successful outcomes. 
  • Project management experience is considered an asset.
  • Has a valid Canadian government issued security clearance, or is eligible for a security clearance, to Level III (Top Secret).  
  • Has previously registered or is eligible for registration under the Controlled Goods Program.

 

Willing to travel throughout Canada as required.
