The OCI Compute Control Plane service is responsible for provisioning and managing all bare metal and virtual machine compute instances and provides the foundation upon which OCI's cloud is built. The service must guarantee high availability and there are ever-increasing demands on scale and throughput. As OCI continues its rapid growth, we need a talented Technical Program Manager to help drive programs across the organization focused on increasing service availability, improving operations, and deploying our service into new regions. We are seeking a candidate that can combine good organization and program management with solid technical skills. You should be comfortable and proficient in working with stakeholders to communicate program needs, manage program status, and track dependencies.
Major focus areas of software maintained by the team include:
- Creating and maintaining highly available APIs for launching and managing Compute resources.
- Designing and implementing highly scalable systems capable of functioning across numerous regions in a worldwide cloud footprint.
- Building systems for orchestrating large-scale fleet management actions
- Decomposing large, monolithic codebases
- Advancing automation to facilitate efficient expansion of OCI's footprint

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $78,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Responsibilities:
As a Technical Program Manager on the OCI Compute Control Plane team, you will be responsible for analyzing and delivering upon any of the requirements that are needed to fulfill commitments to meet our business objectives. You will:
- Develop business case analysis to both outline an issue and recommend a solution based on limited amount of data
- Act as the liaison between Engineering, Security, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and other cross-functional teams on complex efforts to meet customer needs.
- Drive cross-functional design, development, and improvement efforts across all relevant organizations within Oracle.
- Analyze product and project requirements to ensure requirements and goals are met
- Work with internal teams to understand product documentation requirements to create quality business and technical documentation for internal and external use
- Develop standards and protocols with team members for project documentation
- Partner with program and product managers, engineers, and operators to create regular reporting documentation on relevant issues to drive towards successful resolution before risks turn to roadblocks
- Be proficient in executive communication, able to write and present technical program documentation on a regular basis to senior executives.
- Interface with customers, operators, and engineers to discuss detailed requirements, engage appropriate stakeholders, and execute delivery
- Programmatically manage multiple workstreams across OCI, driving and validating results.
