The position demands proficiency in building robust APIs and backend services, ensuring Service remains a high-performing and reliable solution for internal and external users. Strong operational expertise is essential, including the ability to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement monitoring tools for distributed systems (e.g., structured logging, metrics, and Grafana dashboards), and troubleshoot effectively to ensure operational excellence.
A deep understanding of distributed systems is critical for maintaining the scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability of Oracle Cloud Escalations And Notifications Service, as the service processes large volumes of data and integrates with other critical platforms.

We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, infrastructure, and highly available messaging and notification services. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software design and development for major components of the critical Tier-0 services in Messaging Org. You should be both a rock solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the control plane and data plane stack and low level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

- 7 years experience delivering large scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services.
- Extensive experience developing clean code in JAVA and scripting languages such as Python, etc.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, I/O paths, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of messaging and notication services
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
