Responsibilities
- As a Director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of cloud computing, databases and software architecture to manage software design and development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications.
- Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.
- Define technology and operational strategy and supporting roadmaps.
- Manage the design, development, and operations of the team with focus on operations excellence and availability.
- Recruit and build out a diverse, capable and cohesive engineering team.
- Drive continuous improvement through the ability to see & understand the future state of Cloud Data Services.
- Ability to translate and message impactful business stories that drive action.
- Able to thrive in ambiguous situations, identify / create process, and governance where needed.
- Own and drive strategies that optimize performance.
- Identify, influence, and support key decision points for the ultimate customer experience.
- Partner and maintain key relationships with Operations, Support, Product Management and Engineering organizations within Oracle.
- Develop and monitor metrics to measure key performance indicators and business performance.
- Ability to succeed through collaboration and navigate through other internal and external organizations and individuals.
- Ability to learn quickly and adjust to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
