JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our oral surgery team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing top-notch patient care. As part of a collaborative surgical team, the CNA will assist in surgeries, patient preparation, documentation, and post-operative care. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist surgeons during oral surgery procedures, including starting intravenous (IV) lines and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout surgeries to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare patients for surgery and discharge, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Verify patient identity and operative sites to confirm procedural accuracy.
- Discuss the nature of the surgical procedure with the surgeon, including operative consent, patient-advanced directives, and other needs.
- Monitor patient’s intra-operative and post-operative status and report any concerns.
- Obtain dental radiographs and digital imaging as needed.
- Complete patient clinical narratives accurately and promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the surgeon or practice management.
