Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, endodontic, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Set up and break down treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use
- Take digital and portable X-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre/post-operative care, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Order and manage dental supplies to ensure efficient practice operations
- Follow all OSHA and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within general dentistry settings.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, dental documentation, and relevant systems is essential.
- Proficient in using dental software systems; experience with Open Dental is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members and well as doctors.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Desire to learn new techniques and technologies and drive to learn digital workflows (scanning, photography, 3D printing).
- Bilingual candidates are a plus but not required.

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends
- Weekends as needed
