JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL TIME
Provides clerical and data entry support to the Accounts Payable department. Under general supervision, data entry for vendor payments and cash receipts for new and existing vendors in Banner Finance. Set up new finance elements for users in Banner Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing invoices for vendor payments.
- Setup, change, and delete security for Banner Finance users.
- Interface with departments requesting organizational details for Banner Finance.
- Monitoring incomplete documents for month end close.
- Data entry of daily cash receipts.
- Ad-hoc reporting and assist with special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, preferred
- At least 1 year of accounting experience, preferred
- Understand basic accounting principles and 10-key
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must have the ability to work under high stress while dealing with deadlines.
- Must have fast, accurate data entry skills, and be familiar with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs.
- Requires good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, mathematical, statistical and data analysis skills, and be detail oriented.
- Must have the ability to effectively deal with persons from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information.
- Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
