Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as a the first impression to our patients and will ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of dental terminology. The Patient Coordinator will be responsible for patient interactions, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, presentating treatment plans to the patients, insurance verfication, and helping patients with know what to expect for out of pocket and financing options.
Duties
- Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time slots.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Process insurance claims and handle collections as necessary.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including managing correspondence and documentation.
- Utilize practice management software system for scheduling and record management.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Skills
