We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and comfort of our guests' experience in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures for various types of fabrics.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specific garments.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and fabric care is a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
