General Summary:
The Branch Service Manager manages the branch office and is responsible for providing superior client service and all operations activity to the assigned location. This position manages the staff in the assigned branch location.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
- Manages the branch office. Assumes responsibility for all administrative and operational duties.
- Responsible for ensuring proper service levels are achieved to all clients, including potential clients, existing clients and clients that are a part of the Private Bank or Orange Wealth Management.
- Responsible for staff development and management
- Conduct the interviewing process for available positions.
- Conduct various monthly meetings with staff including but not limited to operational, security, staff and etc.
- Motivates, coordinates and monitors employees interaction with clients to ensure proper service levels are met.
- Maintain the appropriate level of product knowledge to assist clients and offer cross sell opportunities to clients while assisting them. Ensure all branch staff also has the appropriate level of knowledge in their position.
- Takes a leadership role in maintaining the bank’s culture
- Be attentive to the bank building and equipment.
- May need to function as a Business Banker
- Responsible for audit outcomes and internal controls as they are documented in policies and procedures.
- Performs as a mortgage loan originator and ensures submittal of complete mortgage package.
- Perform daily, weekly & monthly audit of operations.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: College Degree or attending college
Experience:
Required: 5 Years Banking Experience and 3 Years Management Experience
Preferred: 8 Years Banking Experience and 5 Years Management Experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- This position supervises all branch personnel.
- This position has a high level of confidentiality. This position has access to customer's financial information, Employee payroll, personnel file, accounts, security procedures and closing procedures.
- This position requires initiative, good judgment skills to determine customer, staff and branch needs. Knowledge of banks policies and procedures is required. Spontaneous decision making skills are essential for this position.
- An error in judgment in this position could result in a loss of goodwill and monetary loss to the bank and a possible legal situation.
- Required: This position requires someone with strong Communication and Leadership skills. They need the ability to maintain a positive attitude, handle difficult situations and have an open mind. Needs to be able to handle change, stress, and pressure. Needs to coach, cross train and motivate employees. Needs the ability to deal with customers and employees in a professional manner. Needs the ability to multitask; make fast and accurate decisions and to be organized.
- This position has a high level of contact with the public and departments. This position also interacts with a large number of internal and external contacts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working Conditions: Position is performed in a branch setting with some external business conduct.
- Equipment Operations - Network System, Computer (various software programs), adding machine, office equipment.
