POSITION: Director, Business Operations
DEPARTMENT: Business Office
REPORTS TO: Controller
STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt (ON-SITE)
SUMMARY: Direct oversight of Accounting Manager. Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Business Office. Including direct support with the logistical elements of Accounting and Finance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reconcile and review A/P sub-ledger on a monthly basis
- Process payments to vendors in a timely manner
- Review and process staff and member expense reimbursements (travel, mileage/ etc.)
- Review and approve Purchase Requisitions
- Monitor and reconcile Property and Equipment on a monthly basis, to include monthly depreciation entries
- Review and reconcile all barter accounts on a monthly basis
- Petty cash custodian
- Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet Accounts (Asset and Liability accounts)
- Handle all cash requirements during Festival time (change funds, casual labor, holiday bonus, per diems, etc.)
- Reconcile Diners/Capital One on a monthly basis
- Maintain accounting for The Orange Bowl Committee, Inc and, currently, its 12 single member LLC’s
- Prepare 1099s
- Go to bank when necessary
- Place stop payments when needed
- Maintain gas cards
- Monthly Journal Entries as needed
- Assist with year-end audit (Reconciliation of Asset Accounts to G/L, Generate Journal entries as needed, preparation on miscellaneous schedules, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Three (3) years’ experience with accounting software, Sage Intacct experience preferred.
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
· Highly organized and demonstrated attention to detail.
· Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills. Proofreading skills required.
· Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm.
- Must Possess basic math skills and be able to communicate with all levels of employees.
