What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Orange Brands Management?
Sushi Samba, a restaurant that serves a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, complemented by conceptual music and much-lauded design.
The Host is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests, and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience.
JOB DUTIES
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and most holidays
- Communicating clearly and effectively with guests and co-workers
- Answer phones in a prompt manner with appropriate scripting
- Bid farewell to the guests and welcoming them back
- Provide guests with menus
- Maintain menus by ensuring cleanliness and accuracy
- Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
- Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs
- Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints if addressed
- Receive and record guests' dining reservations via Open Table
- Promote and distribute information at the host stand about SUSHI SAMBA events & promotions
- Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly and customers' concerns are addressed
- Direct guests to coatrooms, restrooms, waiting areas such as bar and / or lounge or dining table.
- Must stay up to date with general knowledge about SUSHI SAMBA concept and cuisine
- Other duties may be assigned
