The Position
Under the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the coordination of the development, implementation, and evaluation of information technology applications, best practices, and architecture. The Director provides leadership to foster innovation in maintaining and enhancing the usability, security, performance, availability, and proper operation of the District’s Banner ERP in OCI and other enterprise applications. The Director develops the department budget, manages projects and work requests, and serves as a liaison between Enterprise Applications and other areas of the campus. The Director performs other related duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Plans, supervises, and coordinates new and innovative Banner ERP programming requests and software acquisitions.
- Plans, supervises, and coordinates programming requests for new and innovative, internally developed enterprise applications supporting District operations.
- Provides oversight and leadership on District ERP and other enterprise applications programming needs and makes recommendations for purchasing enterprise-related equipment and software and procuring new services.
- Provides leadership in the research, identification, and analysis of new and innovative projects that improve the performance, reliability, and ease of use of ERP and other enterprise applications.
- Maintains and / or supervises the installation, setup, and maintenance of the District’s ERP in cloud and other enterprise applications and related services.
- Participates with other management employees within Information Technology Services in developing, implementing, interpreting, applying, and updating policies, procedures, guidelines, and objectives related to the security and proper operation of ERP and other enterprise applications.
- Supervises generating various reports and data files in coordination with Institutional Research.
- Provides leadership in advancing enterprise programming and system enhancement projects.
- Develops and maintains close collaborative working relationships with departments, committees, and end-users.
- Develops, implements, and conducts end-user training sessions on the District’s ERP and other enterprise applications.
- Reviews and analyzes the testing of ERP and other enterprise applications and / or programs.
- Supervises and provides leadership to the departmental staff.
- Develops and maintains a Department Program Review.
- Works with District and College leadership to produce various department-specific plans and reports.
- Prepares an annual self-evaluation.
- Establishes and implements policies and procedures conforming with Board Policy and all applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Participates in local, statewide, and national groups to develop collaborative relationships.
- Works with Banner consultants on projects, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
