Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Manage patient records accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for treatments, and providing post-operative care instructions.
- Utilize imaging techniques, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Support dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for patients and assisting in their treatment needs.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Stay updated on new dental technologies and practices relevant to prosthodontics and other specialties.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems.
- Knowledge of dental procedures
- Ability to perform imaging tasks, including X-ray administration, while following safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and communication.
