Orange Community Education & Recreation employs full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. These include programming staff, early childhood teachers, support and operations staff, supervisory staff and before and after school childcare staff, and custodians.

Lifeguards and swim instructor positions are available year-round while summer camp staff positions are available during the summer.

Please note: A criminal BCI & FBI background check including fingerprints is required prior to employment and for certain volunteer opportunities. Background checks are paid for by the potential employee and are scheduled after applicants are interviewed.

Front Desk Support, Pepper Pike Learning Center
Orange Community Education & Recreation is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Support staff member. This role is responsible for greeting guests, answering inquiries, processing enrollments, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. Key Responsibilities are greet and assist visitors, and guests in a professional and friendly manner, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and provide accurate information about programs, services, and facility operations, process registrations, and payments while maintaining accurate records, monitor facility access and enforce policies to ensure a safe and positive environment, assist with scheduling, event coordination, and general administrative tasks, address customer concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate staff members. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service experience preferred.
