The Air Operations Helicopter Paramedic Rescuer recruitment is an Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) internal recruitment. Only applications from current OCFA Firefighter / Paramedics will be accepted.
The Air Operations Section is recruiting for the position of Helicopter Paramedic Rescuer to create a candidate pool list to fill future vacancies. Air Operation personnel work on a 48 / 96 schedule.
To obtain Helicopter Paramedic Rescuer Qualifications, Candidates will be required to successfully complete the following training :
- Helicopter Paramedic Rescuer Basic Academy
- Day and Night check rides for all skills
In addition to the required training listed above, candidates must receive a Helicopter Paramedic Rescuer Operations Spotter Qualification within one year. To obtain the Paramedic Helicopter Rescuer Operations Spotter qualification, incumbents must complete the following :
