The Event Operations team seeks an energetic, motivated intern with a strong work ethic who want hands-on experience with the many facets of bringing an event to fruition. Must have strong time management skills, ability to adapt to different situations and work enthusiastically in a changing environment. The internship involves direct exposure to event operations, other internal convention center departments, clients and vendors. Interns are responsible for supporting Event Operations staff with daily department operations. This is a flexible paid internship. General training and supervision is received from the Event Operations Internship Coordinators.

Representative Duties/Assignments
- Assists in various facets of Event Operations as needed, with duties that may include:
- Assists in setup of various types of equipment such as chairs, tables, stages, and risers
- Assists with various operations in the Chapin Theater
- Attends pre-convention meetings with Center divisions, clients and their vendors
- Collects and manages information for the purpose of producing an event
- Reads and interprets diagrams for the purposes of event setup and production
- Understands and meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards
- Completes day-to-day tasks that are critical to ensuring the assets and resources used to produce events are in proper
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School GED or equivalent
- Currently enrolled college student (evidence of enrollment to be verified as part of background process)
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capable of maintaining a positive attitude and hardworking nature while working long hours
- Self-sufficient in computer usage, primarily in Outlook Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Always maintain professional image
- Must provide own transportation to/from work
