Job Description
General Functions
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Continuity Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in risk management, business continuity planning, and crisis response. The selected candidate will supervise the activities of the Systems Support area to ensure the County computer technology meets the needs of the enterprise and operates effectively and reliably. Performs administrative, supervisory, and technical work of a responsible nature to ensure appropriate integration among all technical systems. Candidates who exhibit a proactive approach to crisis preparedness, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to organizational resilience are highly encouraged to apply.
Work is performed with independence and initiative under the general supervision of the Enterprise IT Supervisor. Performance is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and achievement of desired results.
Representative Duties/Assignments
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or closely related field and four years of experience in enterprise infrastructure design to include two years of leadership/supervisory experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of staff on technical and non-technical issues with tact and diplomacy.
Knowledge of distributed software, including operating software and personal productivity software.

- Manages applications and software development and implementation projects.
- Researches and evaluates technical solutions ensuring that related hardware, software and other components are properly selected, developed, implemented, tested and deployed.
- Analyses and resolves problems associated with all aspects of the County technology infrastructure.
- Assures that all systems are monitored to detect deficiencies and recommends changes and solutions.
- Interacts with department heads, external consultants, and software and hardware vendors in order to accomplish business objectives.
- Creates and present proposals and presentations identifying systems needs and Implementation plans and provide status reports to senior management in a clearly understandable manner.
- Supervises System Support Analysts, providing direction and guidance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Relevant Experience:
- A proven track record in developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and crisis management drills.
- Certifications:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), or ISO 22301 certification are strongly preferred.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- The ability to assess risks and vulnerabilities systematically and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional Leadership and Communication Skills:
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with business continuity management software and tools, as well as the ability to leverage data for decision-making and reporting.
