Summary:
We are seeking a Long Term Substitute to fill a Full Time position in the Health & Medical Science department at Orange County High. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students in the Nurse Aid program. This is a temporary position, expected to last for approximately 12 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students in the Nurse Aid program
- Provide hands-on training and supervision for students in clinical settings
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of instruction and student support
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities as required
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and procedures, including safety protocols
Requirements:
- Degree in Nursing or related field (LPN or RN)
- Valid nursing license in the state of Virginia
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other educational technology tools
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
