What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Research Assistant position at Orange County Research Center?
We are Orange County Research Center, a Phase I-IV clinical research facility located in Lake Forest. We are currently seeking detail-oriented and motivated Medical/Research Assistants (Per Diem) to join our team, which is focused on clinical trials and medical office research.
After successful completion of training, the successful candidates will be responsible for performing study procedures per protocol, including some data entry, drawing blood, processing lab samples, performing vitals, collecting ECGs and maintaining meticulous records. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical research in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Research Assistant Duties:
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Draw blood samples from study participants following established protocols.
- Process and prepare lab samples for analysis.
- Perform protocol procedures including but not limited to collecting vitals and ECG.
- Maintain organized and detailed records of all research activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of research activities.
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
You'll Have:
- Certification to draw blood (Phlebotomy) REQUIRED.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in clinical research or a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and lab procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both daytime and nighttime shifts as required.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for clinical trials is a plus.
Shifts Available:
Mornings (7:00AM-3:30PM) Nights (10:00PM-6:30AM OR 6:00PM-6:30AM)
Afternoons (2:00PM-10:00PM) Weekends (6:00AM-6:30PM OR 6:00PM-6:30AM)
Pay starts at $21.00/hr., depending on experience.
