We are Orange County Research Center, a Phase I-IV clinical research facility located in Lake Forest. We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist (Per Diem) to join our team, which is focused on clinical trials and medical office research. The ideal candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, be a quick learner, and demonstrate the ability to adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical research in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Data Entry Specialist Duties:
· Accurate entry, updating and management of data throughout various electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
· Verification of both accuracy and completeness of data entries by cross-referencing the source documents.
· Ensuring data entered meets the study protocols and GCP guidelines.
· Preparation and maintenance of detailed records of data entered.
· Working closely and communicating effectively with study staff (Coordinators, Investigator, etc.) to remain apprised of updates or changes, as appropriate, including queries, missing information, etc.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on data management best practices.
· Stay updated on GCP guidelines and other relevant regulatory requirements.
· Attending training sessions and workshops, as needed, to enhance data entry skills and knowledge.
You'll Have:
· High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher preferred, but not required.
· Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a clinical research setting.
· Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical research processes.
· Proficiency in using EDC systems and other data management tools or proven history of using and/or learning them quickly.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures and systems.
· Knowledge of GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements a plus.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work hours will vary based on the volume of studies we're participating in. Please be open and flexible.
