POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic support to executive leadership by leading special projects and initiatives, conducting research and analytics, and independently completing non-routine assignments to meet goals.
This position is also responsible for coordinating projects related to grant writing, green initiatives, federal programs such as Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), and other assigned initiatives. The Project Coordinator will collaborate across departments, manage timelines, ensure compliance, and assist in securing funding to support the credit union’s mission.
Strategic Initiatives & Project Management
- Lead and execute special projects and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals, collaborating with executive leadership to drive impact.
- Conduct research, gather data, and perform analysis to support decision-making on key business initiatives.
- Serve as a key point of contact and support project-related matters, ensuring timely execution and alignment with leadership objectives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and recommendations based on research, analytics, and project outcomes.
Grant Management & Compliance
- Support existing grant programs (CDFI, CCIA, Cal IIP, etc.), ensuring compliance with funding requirements, reporting deadlines, and performance metrics.
- Monitor grant expenditures and deliverables, ensuring proper allocation of funds and adherence to budget constraints.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for internal audits and external regulatory reviews.
- Work with finance, compliance, and analytics teams to track financial performance, ensure data accuracy, and develop reports for funders and leadership.
- Support grant-funded initiatives that align with the organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
Research, Funding & Stakeholder Coordination
- Research grant opportunities that align with organizational goals and community impact.
- Coordinate with leadership on grant applications and proposals while monitoring funding trends and policy changes.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, nonprofits, and funding partners.
- Support the implementation of sustainability and green lending programs, ensuring alignment with grant funding and compliance requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Sustainability, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in project coordination, grant writing, financial services, or nonprofit programs preferred.
- Experience working with federal programs (e.g., CDFI, CDBG, SBA) is a plus.

Final offer will be determined based on experience, education, training/certifications and specialized skills. The hourly pay range is $23.63 - $29.53.
