What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Bus Driver position at Orange County Transit?
Orange County Transit LLC is seeking to hire for Full-Time, Part-Time, Route Drivers, Per Diem Drivers, Trips and Charter Drivers. Fully Licensed BPS or CPS School Bus Drivers. Locations in Walden, NY and Middletown, NY.
Experienced School bus drivers can earn up to $31.00 for Big Bus and $25.00 for Small bus.
An average of 30 hours per week. Minimum 5-to-6-hour guarantee daily. Year-round work, guarantee 42 weeks per year.
Requirements:
- CDL Class B License with “P” and “S” endorsements and airbrakes
- At least 23 years or older
- Minimum of 1-2 years of school bus driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT drug screening.
- Must have a clean driving history.
Flexible Schedules:
- Monday through Friday
- AM and PM Shift
- AM only Shift
- PM only Shift
- Per Diem - work when available
- Sports, Trips and Charter Drivers
Free “Behind the Wheel” Training Program:
- No Experience... No Problem.
- We offer free classes to help you obtain your CDL permit. Once you obtain your CDL permit we will train you behind the wheel to become a School Bus Driver!
- Must be willing to commit to employment for 6 months with the company.
