Overview:
Under direct supervision, rides on bus routes as scheduled to observe and report on Coach Operator driving methods, customer service, and adherences to policies, rules, and regulations.
This position is not eligible for employee benefits. The work schedule will consist of approximately 20 hours a week, not to exceed 1,000 hours within a continuous 12 month period.
This position is non-exempt in Salary Grade 125: Min $20.96 – Mid $25.15 – Max $29.35 per hour. The starting salary will be within this range based on qualifications.

- Conducts on-board evaluations of Coach Operator driving methods and customer service.
- Documents Coach Operator behavior and actions.
- Prepares summaries, reports, and check sheets from drive along observations.
Works in a Collaborative Manner with Others: Works in a collaborative manner with others, helps resolve unproductive conflict.
- Encourages cooperation between members of the work unit.
Customer and External Focus: Markets his/her workgroup effectively and influences others in the organization.
- Evaluates the quality of service, efficiency, and safety of public transportation.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and a minimum of one year experience in management/supervision.
Qualifications Guide:
Knowledge of:
- Orange County streets and cities.
- Performance standards for Coach Operators.
- Emergency procedures as indicated by the emergency procedures guide.
Ability to:
- Work various hours, days, and locations.
- Prepare summaries and reports.
- Work independently.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Schedule inspections and enter inspection results into Trackit Software.
