Overview
We are seeking an experienced, student-centered, and community-minded educational leader to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for the Orange East Supervisory Union. This is a full-time position that requires strong communication and management skills, as well as experience working with administrators, school teams, and community members.
About Us
The Orange East Supervisory Union is located in the beautiful Upper Valley of the Connecticut River, offering scenic beauty, abundant outdoor activities, and easy access to Interstate 91. Our supervisory union comprises four school districts with seven schools and a technical center serving over 1,600 pupils in grades pre-K through twelve, covering the towns of Bradford, Newbury, Corinth, Thetford, Groton, Ryegate, Wells River, and Topsham.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as an educational leader and provides general supervision of the public schools in the supervisory union.
- Performs duties as prescribed by the laws of the State (Title 16, Sec. 303) and by the school boards of the OESU.
- Responsible for inspiring, leading, guiding, and directing every member of the administrative, instructional, and support services teams in the educational setting.
- Achieves the highest standards of excellence, providing each student with a complete, valuable, meaningful, and personally rewarding education.

Credentials
- Evidence of Vermont licensure as superintendent of schools or being appropriately licensed on or before the first day of employment.
- Advanced degree in administrative studies.
- Administrative experience.
- Classroom teaching experience preferred.
