ANNOUNCEMENT
The Orange East Supervisory Union invites applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2025. We seek an experienced, student-centered, and community-minded educational leader with excellent communication and management skills. We seek a leader who will work with administrators and school teams to continue to partner with the school boards to improve student achievement.
THE ORANGE EAST COMMUNITIES
Orange East Supervisory Union, located in the beautiful Upper Valley of the Connecticut River, boasts scenic beauty, abundant outdoor activities, and easy access to Interstate 91. The supervisory union comprises four school districts with seven schools and a technical center serving over 1,600 pupils in grades pre-K through twelve, covering the towns of Bradford, Newbury, Corinth, Thetford, Groton, Ryegate, Wells River, and Topsham.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Superintendent of Schools serves as an educational leader and provides general supervision of the public schools in the supervisory union, performing duties as prescribed by the laws of the State (Title 16, Sec. 303) and by the school boards of the OESU. The Superintendent is responsible to inspire, lead, guide and direct every member of the administrative, instructional and support services teams in the educational setting and achieving the highest standards of excellence, so that each student enrolled in the schools may be provided with a complete, valuable, meaningful and personally rewarding education.

CREDENTIALS
Evidence of Vermont licensure as superintendent of schools or being appropriately licensed on or before the first day of employment
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Advanced degree in administrative studies
Administrative experience
Classroom teaching experience preferred
POSITION TYPE: Full-time
SALARY: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
