Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Trainer to join the Service Support Team. This role will focus on educating and empowering both internal electric vehicle (EV) service technicians and external customers with in-depth technical knowledge of the Orange EV electrical and mechanical systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both in-person and remote training sessions, as well as maintaining and expanding a comprehensive training program that supports the ongoing growth of service and technical teams. Most of the training sessions will be at the OEV headquarters, however, some travel will be required.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct technical training sessions for Field Service Technicians.
- Maintain and expand structured training programs, including in-person labs, classroom instruction, and technical demonstrations.
- Design and deliver remote training courses to broaden team knowledge and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the Service Support and Engineering Teams to continuously update and improve training materials.
- Track and maintain detailed records of student progress and course completions.
- Partner with third-party organizations to develop specialized training materials and content.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field related to vehicle electrical systems and/or electronics.
- Prior training or instructor experience is preferred, with the ability to break down complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in automotive diagnostics or Class 8 Truck diagnostics is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
- Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially in technical contexts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
