What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Human Resources PRN position at Orange Grove Center Inc?
Essential Functions:
Assist HR Department in carrying out various HR programs and procedures for all employees.
Assist in conducting applicant/employee background and reference checks.
Maintain HR information system records.
Compile HR related reports.
Perform customer service function by answering external/internal requests and questions.
Handle investigation requests.
Maintain employee personnel files.
Assist with processing of terminations.
Purge records as needed.
Serve as back up receptionist.
Process mail and assemble employee and or benefit packets.
Make photocopies, faxes documents and perform other clerical function.
Create employee and or benefit files.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
General knowledge of office procedures. Previous experience as a switchboard operator and knowledge of PBX would be he helpful.
Basic typing and computer knowledge required.
Education:
High School diploma or GED is required. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience:
One to two years experience in a Human Resources position or related field.
Physical Requirements:
Health must be adequate to allow for efficient accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities. Physical examination, including T.B. skin test or chest x-ray and drug screening is required prior to employment by a physician approved by Orange Grove Center.
