Position: ICF/IID House Manager
Hours: Rotating Schedule. General Hours: 6am-2pm. However, requires great flexibility and probability of working varied hours, shifts, and days to support the needs of the home.
Job Summary
To manage an ICF/IID Residence and perform other duties as a member of the ICF/IID Management Team. Oversees operations of group homes and personnel. Reviews and monitors programs data collections; oversees and monitors client finances; Prepares work schedules and reviews time record; Attend staff meetings.
Job Requirements: 90-Day Evaluation Period. All Orange Grove Center required training and orientation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• On-call responsibilities.
• Required meetings:
o Attends and participates in ICF/IID Management Meetings on a regular basis.
o Attends and participates in Individual Support Meetings.
o Attends Accreditation Meetings and ICF/IID Survey Exit Conferences.
• Enhance staff relationships:
o Use effective communication skills.
o Encourage staffs growth and self-development.
o Facilitate teamwork.
o Employ conflict resolutions skills.
o Provide adequate supports to staff.
o To ensure teamwork between Day Program and the Residence.
• Providing and modeling direct support.
• Provide direct support to individuals with:
o Assisting with daily living skills.
o Communicating and interacting with individuals served.
o Facilitating community inclusion.
o Facilitate family involvement.
o Maintaining an appropriate physical environment.
o Provide transportation.
o Implementing and monitoring support plans.
o Responsible for scheduling and attending doctor appointments.
• Program planning and monitoring:
o Completion of required assessments.
o Attend and participate in Individual Support Plan planning meetings and all Circle of Support Meetings.
o Monitor progress by reviewing Daily Notes and Data Tracking Sheets daily.
o Record process by completing Monthly Reviews and submitting them in a timely manner.
o Train staff on appropriate implementation plans.
• Managing personnel:
o Participates in the hiring and firing process of ICF/IID DSP's.
o Evaluates job performance yearly and provides feedback to staff on a regular basis.
o Coordinates vacations, staffing schedules, monitors staff work time, and other paperwork for ICF/IID DSP's.
o Ensures proper staffing ratio is provided for completion of direct care and active treatment in the homes as outlined in the staffing plan.
o Fill open shifts as necessary.
• Training and staff development:
o In-service and orientation of new staff and completion of training sheets.
o Arranging for staff to attend training, in-service sessions, and completing on-line training.
o Conduct monthly staff meetings with defined agenda and signature sheet.
• Protecting Health and Safety:
o Completing reportable incidents via computer.
o Monitoring safety issues.
o Practice appropriate emergency procedures.
o Conduct monthly fire drill, weather drill, licensure, and appropriate documentation.
o Responding to emergencies.
o Promoting client rights regarding health and safety.
• Managing finances:
o Managing staffing budget.
o Managing food, supply, and medical budgets.
o Managing client funds.
o Managing petty cash funds.
• Managing regulations, policies, and procedures:
o Understand, implement, and monitor Department of Health Regulations.
o Understand, implement, and monitor Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Regulations.
o Understand, implement, and monitor Orange Grove Center Policies.
o Understand, implement, and monitor ICF /IID procedures and guidelines.
• Perform general office work:
o Inclusive of all Monday morning paperwork, monthly paperwork, and other required documentation.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: High School or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience supervising others. Required at least six months of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Skills: Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Basic computer skills. Dependability and responsibility required
Physical Requirements: Health must be adequate to allow for efficient accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities. Successful completion of a physical examination and drug test. Able to lift and manipulate weight up to 50 pounds. Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Supervisory Structure: Reports to ICF/IID Residential Coordinator, who reports to the Assistant Director of Personnel.
Salary : $20 - $22
