Description
This is a full-time position responsible for the fair and thorough completion of agency investigations, inspections, and other activities to support the compliance objectives of Orange Grove Center. Investigations are completed anytime there
is a suspicion of misconduct related to anyone receiving support from Orange Grove. Inspections are completed to ensure quality support consistently exists. This investigator will follow the guidelines of DIDD approved investigator training, will maintain compliance with ICF expectations, and will conduct investigations and inspections as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Training. Depending on the type of investigation/inspection, the investigator will also provide follow-up to ensure compliance with recommendations and findings discovered during the initial investigation/inspection and may be asked to conduct trainings. The investigator will meet the required timeframes of each regulatory body and ensure all investigations and inspections are clearly written and thoroughly address the intended objectives. The investigator will be asked to conduct DIDD, ICF, ECF, CHOICES, Georgia Services, and internal investigations. He or she will maintain a flexible schedule to attend training courses and meetings as requested, and to facilitate investigations and inspections.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree required, Master Degree preferred.
Successful completion and implementation of the State of Tennessee’s investigator training and med certification training is required. Must complete additional training as requested. Professional experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities required. Must consistently demonstrate effective and professional communication, both verbally and in writing. Fluent computer skills required. Must possess initiative and be able to work on projects independently. Must possess an understanding of the importance of individuals with disabilities being active participants in their communities and ascribe to person-centered beliefs and practices. Experience with completing DIDD and ICF investigations preferred.
