POSITION SUMMARY
The Annual Giving and Alumni Manager plays a key role in strengthening Orange Lutheran’s culture of philanthropy. This position is responsible for increasing and engaging donors through strategic communications and events, growing financial support, and fostering relationships with alumni. The role involves supporting the Annual Fund, coordinating fundraising efforts directed toward alumni, overseeing donor relations, and fostering alumni engagement through events, communications, and outreach. This role also directly supports the Building Boldly Comprehensive Campaign.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Annual Giving Responsibilities:
- Conduct personal donor stewardship communications and visits, ensuring timely recognition and engagement.
- Extend personal fundraising appeals and build relationships to support the school’s mission.
- Work closely with the Major Gift Officers to encourage annual giving and transition donors to higher giving levels.
- Assist in the development and execution of effective communication and fundraising strategies to support the Annual Fund, including email, direct mail, social media, and phone calls.
- Prioritize Orange Lutheran’s Annual Fund in activities and communications, ensuring strong donor participation and financial growth.
- Plan and execute donor engagement events, including Shield Society receptions.
- Collaborate with the Research and Database Coordinator regarding gift processing, data management, and donor relations for the Annual Fund.
Alumni Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute events for new and existing alumni, including the Homecoming Alumni Tailgate, Graduate Lunch, Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and networking opportunities.
- Assist alumni with reunion-related communications, as well as coordination of reunions taking place at Taste of OLu.
- Partner with the Development team to cultivate relationships with new alumni, existing alumni, parents, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate alumni communications in collaboration and partnership with the Associate Director of Development Communications and the Marketing and Communications team.
- Organize and lead alumni-related organizations and volunteer groups as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate alumni records and donor history.
- Represent Orange Lutheran Alumni at key school events and faculty meetings.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in weekly Development Team meetings, monthly Prospect Review meetings, and all Professional Development days.
- Attend Development events, including Taste of OLu, Lancer Ladies Brunch, Gala Dinner & Show, Golf Classic, and other events as needed.
- Assist team members with projects and events as needed.

Education
Bachelors degree required
Experience
Five years of fundraising and/or educational experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, AND CLEARANCES
- Cleared Background/Fingerprint check
- Valid CPR certifications
- Cleared TB assessment
- Completion of Ministry Safe Training
