Overview
The Sales Associate provides quality customer service by processing customer orders and donations in an efficient, accurate, safe, and courteous manner. This position assists management with rotation of stock, seasonal displays and maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe store environment.
Responsibilities
- Handles monetary transactions including cash, checks, gift certificates, travelers’ checks, processing coupons, issuing rain checks and handling refunds.
- Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
- Assists with merchandise rotation, store layout, stocking, and proper pricing. Responsible for staying current on product location.
- Responsible for maintaining checkout area, including keeping it clean, neat, properly stocked, and safe.
- Responsible for answering the telephone, taking donation information from customers for pick-up, accepting donations from clients, and providing them with tax information form.
- Exhibits critical thinking abilities and applies them for continuous improvement of services and HH. Demonstrates ability to think creatively, identify and make recommendations to the Attic Manager.
