Orange Southwest School District is seeking a passionate and experienced Culinary Arts Substitute Teacher for 6-8 weeks from April through the end of the year to join the educational team at Randolph Technical Career Center. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of culinary arts, a strong background in cooking, and the ability to inspire and educate students in the art of cooking and baking.Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging culinary curriculum and instructional materials for students.Teach a variety of culinary techniques, including cooking, baking, food safety, and nutrition.Create and implement hands-on cooking demonstrations and practical experiences.Manage catering, food truck, fine dining, and coffee carts, etc. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and practices into the curriculum.Collaborate with other educators and participate in school events and activities.Qualifications: Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional experience.Proven experience as a chef or culinary professional.Prior teaching experience is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning styles.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.This is a temporary position.Application Instructions: Please submit your resume, cover letter, and references via SchoolSpring.
