Work Based Learning CoordinatorRandolph Technical Career Center1.0 FTEAnticipatedRandolph Technical Career Center offers twelve full-day technical education programs, each of which offers college credits or industry certifications to students as part of their high school education. RTCC is a full day Career and Technical Center where students gain technical skills, professional skills and academic skills on our campus. RTCC is seeking a licensed Work Based Learning Coordinator.The WBL Coordinator is responsible for organizing a variety of work-based employment and training options for students. They will work with program instructors and students to help provide career assessment and guidance and provide support to program instructors in accessing businesses for such activities such as tours, guest speakers and technical projects.The purpose of Co-op is to enhance a students performance in skills learned through their technical program and to give students an opportunity to learn new skills in a real world setting. The Work based learning coordinator is integral in overseeing student placements in four types of career and work experience opportunities: Job Shadows, Unpaid Training, Paid Work Experience, and Apprenticeship.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work effectively with small and large groups of students in providing orientation to career opportunities and employers.
- Assist students in defining and developing a Personalized post-secondary Plan.
- Knows every current student at the RTCC by name and sight
- Works to create and maintain relationships with RTCC alumni, creating and managing a database reflective of those relationships and inviting them in to talk to current students
- Supports teachers in collecting data on past RTCC alumni for six month and three year reports
- Creates, develops, and maintains positive, professional relationships with business, industry and community partners
- Organizes and runs Collaborations with Vermont Works for women Challenge day and Tech at work to continue to attract female and Non-gender conforming students into our programs.
- Organizes & facilitates workshops in resume writing, professional communications, employment documents and Portfolio Development.
- Provides an Entrepreneurship program to second or third year students participating in Work Based Learning placements.
- Organizes and attends other state and building based meetings at the request of the Director
- Organizes student trips to business and industry partners and supports CTE School Counselor and staff in organizing post-secondary school visits to the RTCC
- Coordinates school wide Industry Recognized Credential Trainings
- Develops a yearly calendar of Work Based Learning activities, implements the activities and assesses the effectiveness of Guidance Services
- Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings and program support team meetings for all Randolph Technical Career Center students as needed.
- Collect data and maintain a database to conform to the requirements of the Agency of Education.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Knowledge/demonstration of safe, legal, and effective practices in facilitating work experiences for students including federal and state Department of Labor regulations (e.g. registered apprenticeships, hazardous occupations, OSHA rules).
