What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Career and Technical Education position at Orange-Ulster BOCES?
Orange-Ulster BOCES seeks a dynamic and innovative Director of Career and Technical Education to lead our highly respected CTE programs serving approximately 2,200 students. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in program development, implementation and evaluation while supervising both Career and Technical Education as well as overseeing Adult Education. Key responsibilities include overseeing curriculum development, managing federal grants, coordinating with local districts and business partners, and ensuring programs align with current industry standards and regional employment needs. The Director will focus on continuous program enhancement and development of new offerings to meet emerging workforce demands.
The position requires NYS district level certification and high school leadership experience. Experience in Career and Technical Education is a plus. We seek an educational leader who demonstrates strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of CTE standards and the CTE model.
This is a full time, 12 month position that begins July 1, 2025.
