What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic Intern position at Orange Water And Sewer Authority (NC)?

Intern to assist with water and wastewater treatment facilities maintenance to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and internal goals. This internship is an amazing opportunity for an individual to gain knowledge and hands-on training in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Assist with maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facilities.
Learn maintenance operation and gain knowledge about different types of maintenance, best practices, and the use of various tools and equipment.
Be a current college student in a maintenance program (or other applicable degree program).
Have completed some core classes relative to the degree program.
Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and ability to multi-task. Ability to follow directions and communicate concisely in oral and written manner.
Offers some flexibility in schedule. Working 20 to 30 hours per week for approximately 3 to 6 months.
Not eligible for benefits.
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on qualifications.
