What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership and Events Director position at Orangeburg Country Club?
Orangeburg Country Club is seeking a personable, professional, driven individual for our Membership and Events Director. This Director will be responsible for seeking and building relationships with prospective and current members and businesses to promote club membership and private event growth. Director will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new members, promoting club event spaces to members and non-members, promoting and attending club social events and committee meetings, and serving as a club ambassador to members, local businesses and the community.
This position will report directly to the General Manager and participate in management staff meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle sales of club memberships and private events with integrity, diligence and enthusiasm
- Prepare a strategic sales plan to grow club membership and private events
- Generate new sales leads through prospecting, working current and old leads
- Respond to membership and private events inquiries
- Attend trade shows and off-site networking opportunities
- Work on-site and in-the-field to sell and promote club memberships and facilities
- Assist in membership tours and answer inquiries regarding the club, its facilities and amenities
- Work in partnership with Club Management and Private Events team to ensure the member and guest experience

- Willing and able to listen to feedback and apply it moving forward
- Previous sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Knowledge of the Orangeburg community and surrounding areas
