Job Overview:
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) is seeking an IT Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support during a temporary leave of absence. The role involves assisting staff with IT equipment, peripherals, applications, phones, and video conferencing tools. Support requests will be handled via a ticketing system or walk-ins.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues.
- Assist with video conferencing and phone system setup.
- Respond to service requests through a ticketing system and walk-in support.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols while handling protected information.
- Minimum 2 years of IT desktop support experience.
- Ability to work onsite Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day between 8 AM - 5 PM EST.
- SECRET security clearance (valid for the contract duration).
- Strong communication skills in both English and French.
- No travel required.
- Must work onsite at ACOA s Ottawa office.
