TN Americas, a subsidiary of Orano, is seeking a Quality Specialist I-II in our Kernersville, NC location.
This position is responsible for performing surveillances and supporting audits and for performing site processes and activities to ensure that appropriate controls have been defined and implemented to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commonly used Quality concepts, practices and procedures; experience in Quality Engineering; and a strong understanding of metal fabrication, codes & standards, materials, testing, and commodities.
Major duties and responsibilities including but are not limited to:
- Conduct independent surveillance of materials and products, as assigned.
- May review documents, prepare checklists, conduct assessment interviews and/or prepare assessment reports.
- Review QA procedures to verify compliance with ASME, IEEE and NRC regulations.
- Develop basic knowledge of NRC or other pertinent regulations and industry codes and standards.
- Develop and implement nuclear and/or non-nuclear quality assurance procedures to be followed for design, procurement, construction and/or operation of materials and/or processes.
- Review quality assurance specifications, test reports and other documentation to ensure that safety and quality assurance requirements are met.
- Write, evaluate, and respond to Corrective Action documents including implementation of corrective measures
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
- May inspect and review contractors' and vendors' work for compliance with QA standards.
- QC certification Level II may be required.
- Desired, but not required: Experience in Auditing, Inspection (dimensional and/or NDE).

Salary Range: $62,000-$80,000

Ideal qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
BS plus 0-2 years of nuclear quality assurance experience; or AS plus 2-4 years of nuclear quality assurance experience; or HS plus 4-6 years of nuclear quality assurance experience.
Knowledge of basic related engineering and quality assurance standards, techniques and criteria.
Basic verbal and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and convey technical data.
Ability to develop and maintain basic interpersonal relationships with all levels of staff and management.
Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
Basic organization skills.
Salary : $62,000 - $80,000
