We are currently hiring a People Specialistin Elyria, OH to support both of our sites at 860 Garden Street and 669 Sugar Lane. In this role, you will assist the local operations team and US HR group. This will be a full-time position working Monday-Friday with flexible hours, to help cover all shifts in our 24 / 5 and 24 / 7 facility.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for ordering, organizing, and storing HR promotional materials and maintaining inventory, employee PPE & uniforms, HR materials, and clothing in support of employee needs in addition to tracking & managing documentation & paperwork. Vendor management experience is a plus.
  • Collaborate with operations on various local HR processes such as new hire orientation arrangements, written offers and interview assistance, benefit open enrollment communication, and items that are ordered & provided (PPE, uniform, gift cards, etc).
  • Assist in directing employees to the proper HR person regarding FMLA, leave of absence, timesheets / payroll issues, employee relation / investigation issues, Worker's compensation, random drug screening, de-escalating situations, and conflict resolution. Familiarity with local HR laws & regulations is required.
  • Regularly communicate employee issues to the operations team to improve local HR support for employees on people processes and policies.
  • Maintain accurate databases and prepared reports as required and help to identify and document people team processes.
  • Assist with managing workflows for the department; Assist Supervisor in checking Timesheets for accuracy
  • Perform individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct while maintaining an effective working relationship within the department and the facility.

Qualifications :

  • We need a driven & proactive individual with outstanding attention to detail who is comfortable working in a multi-site fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • A self-starter who is organized and has great problem-solving skills to be able to keep track of multiple tasks / request
  • Must be a team player with great customer orientation who can work with global cross-functional teams and can be a quick learner and quick decision-maker.
  • A year in human resources as a generalist, onsite HR manager, onboarding specialist, HR specialist, or admin that has supported operations & HR departments (benefits, compensation, talent acquisition and development, preboarding, onboarding, new hire orientation, timesheet adjustments / payroll, etc) in a process-driven Manufacturing Company.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer savvy : including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Must have intermediate to expert level of Excel and be able to manage data, pivot tables, and create dashboards & processes.

  • HRIS systems like (DayForce HCM, and SAP SuccessFactors) are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, detail-oriented and ability to meet deadlines, documentation & data management required.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and standard work instructions is preferred.
  • Technical writing skills (developing training documentation); Data management and data auditing experience.

    The compensation for this position will typically range from $66,000 - $107,000. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge / skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

    The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
