Position is for a naval architect to design and maintain boats.
- Be proficient in design concerns for : hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, flotation, and stability, structures, arrangements, and construction.
- Understand how to perform cost and survivability assessments.
- Be proficient with modern computation tools to perform boat design studies.
- Due to the complexity of modern boats, be able to integrate the activities of a variety of technology specialists.
- Understand how to synthesize the often conflicting demands from competing design constraints to determine the most balanced designs for a small boat.
