Job Description : The Senior Engineer provides technical leadership of the team providing engineering and technical support to the Engineering and Planning Department (EPD) of the Ships Availability Planning and Engineering Center (SHAPEC). Acts as the Government customer's primary point of contact for engineering issues on ongoing projects.
Required Skills and Experiences :
- Minimum Required :
15 years practical experience at a professional level, in responsible engineering duties relative to design, maintenance, operations, repair and testing of submarine systems. Experience must include performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress, etc.
Degree Requirements :
Four-year degree related to a professional engineering curriculum
