Job Description :
Incumbent provides overall technical accountability and management of the engineering-related support provided under the Knowledge-based Services contract to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, Naval Architecture and Engineering Department, Code 80.
Provide required technical support to the Program Manager in the overall planning, direction and success of major projects, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives within Code 80.
Serve as the main engineering POC and interface with the customer.
Required Skills and Experiences :
Must be a U.S. citizen.
A secret security clearance.
20 years of verifiable experience in planning, directing, and coordinating engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command. The 20 years of experience must include experience in all of the following :
Researching, developing, and testing and evaluating platforms and systems (inclusive of subsystems, components, and appurtenances).
Performing ship, submarine, and advanced marine vehicle research and development.
Specializing in conducting case studies, editing statements of work and specifications, and performing scheduling and engineering design trade-off analyses.
Supervising technical staff and participating in multidisciplinary design, development, test planning, and test execution and recovery of complex technical systems; and
Utilizing computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) technology and publication standards for print.
Degree Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in one of the following Engineering disciplines : Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Marine (also known as "Ocean"), or Naval Architecture (also known as "Naval Engineering").
